To ensure we continue to deliver the quality levels of service our customers receive, we need to review and realign a variety of cost components related to our business annually.
As a result of this review, there will an increase in price to all CourierPost and Pace products & services, which is aligned to the Consumers price index (CPI) less vehicle fuels. Excluding vehicle fuels recognises that fuel is accounted for in our Variable Fuel Rate (VFR).
The increase to the CPI less vehicle fuels for the 12 months to 31st March 2015 is 1.00%, and we will be applying this rate across all products and services from the 1st of July 2015.
In addition, based on feedback we have had from customers, we have reviewed our Variable Fuel Rate (VFR) framework. We believe that as fuel prices have stabilized, the right thing to do is remove complexity from our pricing structure and offer more certainty to our customers. As such, for customers using our standard VFR framework, we will build the June VFR rate of 3.40% into all base pricing, and reset the VFR rate to 0.00%. This does not result in any additional cost increase. For more information about the changes, please visit our VFR information page.
Your business and our ability to provide the best possible service is our greatest priority. This is why we need to align the prices of our products and services with our changing cost base in order to continue providing you with the capability and level of service you expect.
